Education Officer

Location: Caledonian Stadium 
Reports to: Senior Community Team
Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours/week
Salary: £25,000 per annum.

To play an integral part of our ‘Education Programme’ across the local community. Helping to develop and deliver projects in Schools that further our education aims of reducing poverty related attainment gap through health and wellbeing interventions as well as developing life skills and being a positive role model presence for young people to encourage a positive destinations in their future..

 
Literacy Development 

A community developed project focusing on engaging students in literacy through creative football-based tasks.  

 


Football Fun 

Delivering fun football-based sessions that promote engagement and being active for all ages and abilities.  

                Key Projects

 

 
 
Extra Time 

SFA funded programme that provides ‘wrap around’ care for students to support families. Breakfast Clubs and After School clubs run daily providing nutritious meals and a safe activity space.  

 
Football Champions 

SFA funded project providing structured theory and practical sessions that promote positive health and wellbeing through football.  

 
 

Qualifications

Experience

Essential  

Previous experience working with young people. 

Previous experience running sports based sessions.  

 

Desirable  

Previous experience working for a charitable organisation. 

Previous experience in an education setting. 

Essential  

Child Wellbeing in Scottish Football 

SFA Equality and Awareness Certificate* 

 

Desirable  
HNC in related sport’s field 

SFA Children’s License or UEFA C License  

*Can be completed upon accepting the post.

Salary: £23,000 per annum - subject to qualifications/experience

An exciting opportunity to play a key role in leading delivery across a variety of projects that meet the main aims of the Inverness Caledonian Thistle Community Development Trust.  

 
Football Festivals

Playing a vital role in helping run the 'McDonalds Fun Football' festivals for local teams across the wider Inverness area. 

 

Young Leaders

Developing and supporting our young leadership pathway to help promote more opportunities for new coaches to learn and grow.

Main Duties

- To plan and deliver high quality football coaching sessions running in accordance with the ‘Best Practice’ philosophy of the Inverness CT Community Development Trust. 

- To offer social and emotional support to those who attend our sessions.  

- To communicate effectively as part of the ICTCD team to ensure high quality programming and sessions. 

- To adhere to all ICTCD policies and procedures at all times.  

- To positively promote ICTCD to ensure growth and expansion.
